Christmas at Cafe Pause

Christmas at Cafe PauseLooking for a way to enjoy a bit of holiday cheer in Tokyo, but can't really afford the ¥4,000-¥5,000 prices that most Christmas dinner sets are going for in the city's restaurants? From now until Christmas day, you can take in the festive (yet stylish) atmosphere at Cafe Pause in Ikebukuro. Relax to a non-mainstream selection of holiday music -- think more along the lines of Christmas remixes and mashups, with a nice touch of Esquivel in the mix -- accompanied by tables adorned with tiny Roughtoyz-produced vinyl Kobito figures straddling miniature Christmas trees, and a special menu that of course includes a "Buche de Noël." And heck, where else in the city (and maybe all of Japan) will you get a chance to watch the classic Rankin/Bass Christmas TV specials, here projected on an entire wall. Also, the cafe features free WiFi, so it's an excellent bet for all you laptop-toting revelers.
