Pierre & Gilles in Shanghai

Thursday, October 6, 2005

100605.14.jpgEven though homosexuality is still nominally illegal in China, museum curators at the new Museum of Contemporary Art managed to persuade Shanghai officials to allow the display of works by openly gay artist-couple Pierre and Gilles. Most of P&G's art tends toward the funny or silly, though there's still plenty of handsome boys laying about. The exhibit runs through November 15.
