"I Hate Las Vegas"

loathinglasvegas43.jpgThat's the title of a blog post this morning from the editor of Budget Travel, Erik Torkellis. And what prompted such a blatant show of discontent towards the City of Sin? According to Torkellis "every restaurant in the ad just seemed so awful...They look like they're from a computer game -- maybe Grand Theft Auto: Country Club. I like tacky, but this was tacky in all the wrong ways."

Nevada's Republican party has been

elegantangelrepublicans325.jpgNevada's Republican party has been caught wearing porn lanyards. At Las Vegas' annual Adult Entertainment Exposition, held back in January at the Venetian, sponsor Elegant Angel showed up with dozens of lanyards with the company's logo. They had way too many, and so they left extras at the Venetian. When the State Republican Convention came to town without enough lanyards, they unknowingly took smut-peddler's extras. No one was the wiser until a curious reporter discovered the mishap. [LA Times]
