Pillowfight Flash Mob in BA

Friday, November 17, 2006

pillowfight.jpgHow do you say "Flash Mob" in Spanish? Tomorrow night (11/18) at 6 p.m. outside the Buenos Aires planetarium, you can find out. The event is the brainchild of Marina Ponzi, a 23-year-old student who heard about a similar event in San Francisco and thought "Why not become part of the pillowfight flash mob trend?" So she put up a website announcing the event and in its first three weeks of existence, it chalked up over 20,000 visitors. So they haven't quite mastered the concept of flash mobs being on the DL but, what do you want? They're new at this. Anyway, the fight promises to be the Somme of bedding. Get there early--it starts at 6 p.m. sharp.
