Santanarchy NY
Santarchy for the uninitiated is a truly epic bar crawl through the city with hundreds of like-minded revelers dressed as Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Hanukkah Harry and a guy in a chicken suit. Put on every year by the by Brooklyn's Cacophony Society who's motto is "No power on earth can stop 500 drunken Santa's." This year promises to be more of the same Dionysian fun. This years Santacon starts off at the The Delancey and drinking commences at 10:10:10AM. With event guidelines like "If you can't stay hydrated, stay liquored up. There will be bar stops, but they can be short and crowded. You are responsible for your own inebriation. Santa is not advocating breaking open container laws! Santa's just sayin'..." and "Santa does not make children cry (unless they whine, snivel, or otherwise deserve it). Really - If you see kids, give them nice toys, candy, or something pleasant. Feel free to urinate on the parents. Tourists fall somewhere in between the two..." The event promises to be to be the best Christmas you'll never remember.
