Berlin's Less Rain is a bit of everything: graphic design firm, cafe, boutique and gallery. The latest show, which opens August 17th, features Japanese artist Shin Tanaka whose origami creatures are the Homies of paper toys. Well, maybe a little more phantasmagorical. Tanaka's creatures, with names like Spiky, Spiky-B, and Wallman, are extremely popular among the high-priced Adidas set and, though I didn't know they existed, street art origami enthusiasts. Tanaka, in fact, moonlights as a paper shoe designer. The templates for both his creatures and shoes are available for download on his website.
