Top 10 Bars in the World Sets The Bar High

Thursday, November 30, 2006

page_maison.jpgWith so many bars in the world, what makes any establishment qualify as one of the top ten? It appears, from the Guardian's list, any bar that allows deputy travel editor Isabella Choat to travel to warmer climes and stouter ales. Many of the bars are in hotels (Chez Georges, Rex Rooftop Bar), some are in the close vicinity of bodies of water and not all are in cities. Noticing there are no New York bars here, we're inclined to the opinion that this list is crap but here it is. Do with it what you will.

Chez Georges Paris
Mary McBrides Cushenden, Northern Ireland
Vesuvio San Francisco
OJ's Restaurant and Bar Antigua
Rex Rooftop Bar, Ho Chi Minh City
Sirocco , Bangkok
Puro Beach Mallorca
No Shoes Club Baie de Somme, France
Rio Scenarium, Rio
Smoke London
